According to the video, at around 2 a.m. on the 29th of last month, a woman driving a black car crashed into a parked car in an alley in Seoul and then fled the scene.
The impact of the accident broke the bumper of the car, but the woman left it as it was and left the scene, causing a secondary accident in which she collided with a motorcycle.
A citizen who witnessed the incident reported the incident and the police were called in. The police were arrested at a hazardous area about 100 meters away from the accident site.
They found a car parked with its headlights on. As soon as the police arrived, a woman got out of the passenger seat and ran into a nearby building. The police followed her and arrested her.
There was no one in the car. The woman told the police that she was not driving, but after the police checked the security camera footage through the control center, they found that the woman had gotten out of the driver's seat and moved to the passenger seat.
The incident was clearly visible. When the police showed the security camera footage to the woman and questioned her, she admitted to the lie and had been drunk driving.
A breathalyzer test revealed that the woman's blood alcohol content was at a level that would result in her license being revoked.
The woman was arrested for violating the Road Traffic Act. Meanwhile, according to statistics from the National Police Agency, the number of cases of drunk driving detected last year was 130,150 in total, including 39,255 license suspensions and 90,895 license revocations.
