Police Chief Lee Ho-Yeon, who attended the National Assembly's Administrative and Security Committee plenary session on the same day, said, "We are concerned about the storming of the Seoul Western District Court by President Yoon's supporters."
The deputy chief said, "A total of 86 people were arrested for illegal activities in front of the Western District Court on the 18th and 19th, and investigations are currently being carried out at 18 police stations."
The 40 people arrested on charges of obstruction, crossing the border fence, and obstructing vehicles belonging to the Agency for the Investigation of Crimes by High-Ranking Public Officials are being investigated by 11 police stations.
Immediately after the break-in, Deputy Director Lee took a tough stance against similar threats.
"We consider this a serious challenge," he said, adding, "We intend to take strict action against the suspects responsible for this incident, including through arrest and investigation."
