BTS' JIMIN's ”Who” is certified platinum in Canada... the second time for a K-pop solo song, a first in history

"Who," the title song from BTS' JIMIN's second album, has set a new record for a K-pop solo song in Canada.
JIMIN's solo song "Who" was released on January 17th by Music Canada (formerly the Canadian Recording Industry
The album received a platinum single certification from the Critical Illusions Association (CRIA).
"Who" was released on July 19th last year and sold over 80,000 units in about six months. Music Canada has released the number of digital downloads and streams.
The certification is awarded according to sales volume standards, taking into account factors such as the number of reels and the sales volume of physical singles. For singles, the certification is awarded in three categories: Gold (40,000 or more), Platinum (80,000 or more), Double Platinum (80,000 or more), and Platinum (100,000 or more).
JIMIN previously released the title song "Like" from his first solo album "FACE".
Crazy" was certified platinum by Music Canada.
This is Jimin's first platinum certification for a Korean solo song since "Like Crazy". Following "Who" which was also certified platinum by Music Canada, Jimin is the first Korean soloist to receive platinum certification.
He is the first and only Korean artist to achieve the honor of receiving multiple platinum certifications from Music Canada with two exclusive solo songs without any collaborations.
Meanwhile, JIMIN's "Like Crazy" and "Who" have sold over 2 million units in the US, earning the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) the No. 1 ranking.
The album has been certified double platinum by the RIAA (Released 2014) and RIAA (Released 2015).
In November 2024, "Who" achieved 200,000 unit sales in the UK, making her the first K-pop solo artist to achieve this feat.

The album has also received a Green Light Silver certification, proving its popularity in the English-speaking world.
