Seoul Mayor: ”Prepare to bring our country's nuclear armament to the negotiating table” = South Korea

On the 24th, Seoul Mayor Oh Sehun said about the North Korean nuclear issue, "We have nuclear potential, and we consider 'nuclear armament' as a strategic option (in negotiations)."
Mayor Oh said on social media that day, "There is a saying that 'a sword that is not drawn is terrifying,' but we are ready to draw our swords at any time.
"We need to make the other side realize the truth," said Mayor Oh. "We need to make the other side realize the truth of what U.S. President Donald Trump said, 'North Korea is a nuclear power.'
The "Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula" statement was omitted from the Quad (Quad, a four-nation security consultative group consisting of Japan, the United States, Australia and India) foreign ministers' meeting.
"The most worrying scenario is that the U.S. will sit down at the negotiating table with North Korea on its own, excluding South Korea," he said.
If a "small nuclear disarmament deal" were made with North Korea on the conditions of "removal of ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles)" and "nuclear freeze," South Korea would become a "hostage of North Korea's nuclear program."
"This will result in a situation where the government is forced to accept the proposal," he emphasized.
