Beer-pourer robot appears at Incheon Airport's Terminal 2, offering a unique experience (South Korea)

Robot manufacturer Doosan Robotics has installed a beer-pourable collaborative robot at the Airbot Bar in the food court at Incheon International Airport's Terminal 2.
Prior to this, in May 2024, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Incheon International Airport Corporation to build a digital transformation collaboration system.
The two companies have been working together to create a space that can provide a unique experience for domestic and international tourists. The robot they introduced this time is the collaborative robot "E Series," certified by the National Public Health Foundation (NSF).
The machine "pick up the glasses from the tray, pour the beer, deliver them to the receiving area, and even clean them. It can store up to 40 liters of beer and pour beer into 14 ml glasses.
It takes about 43 seconds to pour. On the 15th, Doosan Robotics provided a cocktail-making collaborative robot equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) to the Lotte Duty Free Shop at Gimpo International Airport.
The robot uses AI, cameras and sensors to analyze human facial expressions and classify them into seven emotions, then recommends and makes cocktails that match each emotion.
A company official said, "In the restaurant industry, where customer service is more frequent, we will develop a solution that can provide both convenience and visual appeal.
