From the process of preparing the album to the moment the release is about to come, I've been really excited and nervous. It's been a long time since I felt that way. I'm excited to debut again after 20 years.
Q. What message do you want to convey with your first mini album, "EXPLORER"? It's my first solo album, so I want to convey the message of the new jackpot that I first fell in love with when I was young.
I wanted to show everyone my music and dance in the 2K and hip-hop genres, and while preparing the album, I wanted to go back to the time when I loved music with pure feelings.
Q. What kind of song is the title song "UP N DOWN"? What are the points to look out for when listening to it? It's a fun dance song in the New Jack Swing genre, and it's really simple.
I made this song with the hope that you can enjoy it easily. Once you hear it, you'll be singing along right away.
Q. You participated in writing the lyrics for the record song "A-yo." What made you decide to participate in writing the lyrics for this song?
I wanted to convey the overall vibe of this album and the purpose of the music I want to convey in a short but powerful way, so I decided to personally participate in thinking up everything from the song concepts to writing the lyrics.
Q. Was it touching to have Super Junior members Donghae and Kyu Hyun join you? It must have been a big burden to do all the work by yourself for the first time.
It was strange, but I think the only time I felt the most comfortable was when I was working on the song with the help of the other members. The members were very reassuring,
I was very grateful. Q. What are your goals and plans for this solo activity? First of all, I want to give this as a great gift to the fans who have loved and supported me for such a long time.
I hope that this desire will help give momentum to the activities of SUPER JUNIOR, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year as I work hard for it.
