※This article contains spoilers. In the 4th episode of the MBC TV series "Motel California" (viewer rating: 3.6%), Kang Hee (Lee Se Yeong) is remodeling a motel.
He returns to his hometown of Hana-eup as the project site manager and is shown reuniting with his first love Yeong-soo (Na In-Woo), with whom he had finally ended their relationship.
Kang Hee was confused when she heard the news of Yeong Soo's marriage from her best friend ARUM (Lee So I).
Kang Hee had a dream in which Yeong Soo was getting married. In the dream, she saw Yeong Soo calmly transform into a fox-like bride. As soon as she woke up from the nightmare, she went to Hana-eup to find out what Yeong Soo's fiance was like.
Kang Hee decides to take on the role of site manager for the Hana-eup Boomerang Motel Remodeling Project, which she had previously refused to do.
She and her husband, Choon Pil (Choi Min Soo), visit Hana-eup fully armed with sunglasses and a scarf. However, to her surprise, the client for the project turns out to be her father, Choon Pil (Choi Min Soo).
When his daughter Gang-hee, with whom he had cut off contact, pretended to be a stranger in front of him, Chun-pil became angry and tried to scrap the project, but Gang-hee brought him a plan.
After he realizes that the content of the drawing is based on the “dream motel” that he and Kang-hee shared when they were young, he decides to join Kang-hee in her unstoppable play.
After successfully finishing her client meeting with Chunpil, Kang Hee tried to sneak out of the town without being seen by the people of Hana-eup, but her driver suddenly...
During training, Yeong-soo and Nan-woo (Choi Hee Jin) almost had an accident in their car. Nan-woo was surprised, but when Yeong-soo picked her up and helped her out of the car, Kang-hee told her that Nan-woo was Yeong-soo's husband.
Yeong-soo was confused when he saw Kang-hee late, but he approached her and was happy. Kang-hee replied, "I'm going to do my work quietly without anyone knowing. So please don't spread rumors.
" Kang Hee then responded to Yeong Soo's question, "How long will you stay?" by saying that it was until Christmas, and the two of them simultaneously reminisced about the past Christmas when they declared, "First love is over."
After leaving, they awkwardly went their separate ways. Seok Hyun, who was watching Kang Hee, thought that the reason she had refused to go to Hana-eup was because of Yeong Soo.
Kang Hee intuitively realizes this and confesses, "Yong Soo wasn't my first love, he was my savior," and that she was able to avoid becoming a mess thanks to Yong Soo, who had always been by her side since she was nine years old.
She expressed her unchanging love for Yeongsoo. Kang-hee wondered who Yeongsoo was going to marry and went straight to Yeongsoo's veterinary clinic. Kang-hee was jealous of the pretty, cute and wrinkle-free Nan-woo.
Jealousy began to grow. Above all, Kang Hee tried desperately to hide the feelings that were boiling up inside her when she saw Nan Woo's overflowing love for Yeong Soo. Yeong Soo was also curious about Kang Hee's man.
When she helps Seok-hyun rescue a puppy that was accidentally injured, she feels relieved but also distressed when she realizes that the nasty rumors about Seok-hyun are not true.
