TOP (former BIGBANG) revealed the behind-the-scenes story of his role as Thanos in Netflix's "Squid Game 2". On the 28th, on the YouTube channel "Netflix

In the video, TOP, who played the role of Thanos in "Squid Game 2", said, "The Rose of Sharon has Bloomed (Daruma-san ga Koronda)" in the first game.
TOP revealed, "After much discussion with the director, I wanted to design a character that has never been seen before.
He made a lot of gestures like people in the past, and even exaggerated gestures.
"I wanted to give people a mysterious feeling, whether it was disgust or embarrassment, when they saw it," he said. He continued, "Thanos has a lot of lines that sound like an old person considering his age.
"Thanos is a character who is stuck in the past. He is a rapper who was active in the 2000s and fell into ruin, so I did my best to act in a way that would make the audience feel embarrassed," he said.
Regarding the scene where he raps in front of Se-mi (Won Ji An), he said, "When I was filming this scene, I burst into tears. I'm approaching my late 30s, but on set, I was mentally
"I approached the role with the intention of being a mischievous elementary school kid. I suggested painting the nails, as I thought that would be a good point. I also chose purple hair color, which is the same color as Thanos' skin."
TOP also said, "I was told that it would be better if my pronunciation wasn't too good. I thought it would be more interesting for foreigners to see it that way, so I paid attention to the details.
"It's a scene where the team is complete, so I laugh every time I see it," he said. In the scene where he confronts the frontman (Lee Byung Hun), he said, "I want to show an aggressive and poking him where it hurts.
"It was my first time doing a simple action scene with Lee Byung Hun since 'Iris', about 15 years ago. It was very emotional," he said.
Regarding the scene where she fights with Myung-gi (Im Siwan), she said, "I practiced a lot with Im Siwan.
We filmed while relying on each other. I thought it was natural that he would die at that timing. I actually liked how Thanos' death was impactful and came at a timing that no one expected.
