Seoul's foreign tourist numbers ”recover” from pre-COVID levels = South Korea

The number of foreign tourists who visited Seoul, South Korea, between January and November last year has recovered to the level before the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the 28th, Seoul City announced, "The number of foreign tourists who visited Seoul from January to November last year was 12.12 million, the highest ever, surpassing the 12.12 million from January to November 2019.
The number of foreign tourists in Seoul has fallen sharply since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, but is expected to reach 2.19 million in 2022 (January to November)
The number of visitors to Seoul has been increasing every year, reaching 8.03 million in 2023 (January to November). Seoul has been voted the "Best MICE (MICE)" by readers of the US travel magazine "Global Traveler" for 10 years.
Seoul Metropolitan Government's Tourism and Sports Bureau Director Koo Jeong-won said, "This year, we will be holding a '3-3-7-7' campaign, which will bring in 30 million foreign tourists.
"This year is an important year for opening up the 'tourism era' (average number of tourists visiting Seoul, average expenditure of 3 million won, average length of stay of 7 days, and repeat visit rate of 70%)," he said. "We want to create an experience of Seoul where people want to stay longer and visit again."
"We will continue to showcase attractive tourism content."
