President Yoon says ”Even my wife doesn't know about martial law” just before declaring martial law (South Korea)

South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol told a State Council member before declaring emergency martial law on December 3 that "even my wife (Kim Gun-hee) doesn't know about the martial law plan," according to police testimony.
Former Minister of the Interior and Safety Lee Sang Min said in a police investigation last month that President Yoon had been arrested after he arrived at the presidential office around 9 p.m. on December 3 of last year, when Han Deok-soo arrived.

Lee said, "At the time, Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok arrived at the presidential office and asked, 'Is martial law being imposed at a time like this?' and entered the office, but when he came out,
"After that, he said, 'I couldn't persuade him.'" He also said that President Yoon "cannot implement martial law instantly," and that "there is nothing we can do because of the impeachment."
He is also said to have said, "(Martial law) won't last long."
