After the dizzying kiss, reason and emotion become separated. Kang-hee and Yeong-soo were sharing a passionate kiss in Kang-hee's room when Chun-pil suddenly barged into the room.
Fearing that Kim Jong Un (Choi Min Soo) and Seok Hyun (Kim Tae Hyeong) would find out, she quickly sorted out the situation. After that, Kang Hee regained her senses and tried to kiss Yeong Soo, but it turned out to be a trivial accident.
Yeongsoo keeps her intention to stay friends, but she gets sulky with Kanghee who keeps pushing her away. Yeongsoo makes a sulky face on purpose to Kanghee, and Kanghee is surprised at Yeongsoo's strange behavior.
Although she was confused by his behavior, she tried to calm him down. However, she was angry at Yeongsoo for refusing to even give her a gift of reconciliation, and she acted as if she was reflecting on her past self.
I almost cried when I saw Yeong-soo acting like a 9-year-old child. At Yeong-soo's veterinary clinic, they had to build a shed for the donkeys, and Nam-woo (Choi Hee-jin) told Kang-hee,
When Kang Hee and Seok Hyun went to the vets, Yeong Soo saw Seok Hyun and became even more upset and jealous. However, thanks to Kang Hee's efforts, the donkey shed was completed successfully.
Kang Hee, as if to tell Yeong Soo to listen, said, "I learned woodworking because I wanted to build my own house. My house even has a room for the medical interns." She reminisced about her past. But Yeong Soo was still cold towards her.
Kang Hee also ostentatiously holds Seok Hyun's arm and lies that she has a prior engagement, and the emotional battle between the two reaches a climax.
Yeong-soo heads to elementary school with a heavy heart, and remembers the time when she and Kang-hee used to draw pictures of houses on the ground.
She remembered the time when she knew what "Yongsoo's room" meant that Kang-hee was giving her, but pretended not to know. In response, Yongsoo said, "There was a time when we were friends and we were happy.
"At the time, just being friends was enough," he said, regretting his actions. Yeong-soo headed to a food stall to soothe his heart with alcohol, where he witnessed Seok-hyun and Es-da (Seo Ye-hwa) getting along well.
On that occasion, Esda had come to tell Seok Hyun that she was pregnant, and Yeong Soo, having cleared up the misunderstanding, shared a drink with Seok Hyun after Esda had left. The two men, drunk, asked each other, "Whose side is it?"
A fierce battle took place over the theme of "Does he like Kang Hee?", and after getting drunk, an incident(?) occurred in the same bed. Also, seeing the relationship between Seok Hyun and Es Da, the meaning of friends was reconsidered.
Yeongsoo then asked Kang-hee to shake hands in front of Kang-hee, Seok-hyun, and Nan-woo, saying, "Let's be friends," putting an end to their ambiguous relationship.
