Lee Jae-myung, who attended the trial, said, ”We should be more concerned about the 'civil war incident' than the 'political oppression incident'” = South Korea

On the 4th, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Korea, said, "Rather than a fabricated indictment for political oppression that has no evidence, we are more concerned about the civil unrest caused by the No. 1 member of the ruling party, the People Power Party.
"I hope that everyone will have an open heart," he said. Lee was in the middle of a hearing at the Seoul Central District Court on the charges of embezzlement at Daejang-dong and bribery of Seongnam FC that morning.
Lee made the above remarks to reporters while attending the first hearing of the trial. "The ruling party is defending the military rebellion that completely destroyed the constitutional order and is attacking the courts, but we should not accept such things," he said.
"If that happens, the Korean constitutional order cannot be maintained," he said. "There are some things that you have to abide by at a minimum when you are involved in politics," he said. "Despite that, you are completely violating the principles of the constitution.
Is it acceptable to defend and support military rebellion and civil unrest that destroy the nation in this way?" he said, calling for more attention to this issue.
