韓国与党議員「帝王的大統領どころか…帝王的議会を正すのがまず先だ」
South Korean ruling party lawmaker: ”Far from an imperial president...we need to fix the imperial parliament first”
Na Kyung-won, a member of South Korea's ruling People Power Party, argued on the 4th that "rather than an imperial presidential system, we need to first amend the constitution to correct the imperial parliament and one-party dictatorship."
On the same day, Rep. Na wrote on Feibook that the ruling party has begun setting up a special committee on constitutional revision, and that "we must check the imperialist parliament."
"Looking at the current system of national governance, far from being an imperial president, we have impeachment and special prosecutor systems in abundance, incitement to fraud, and the dictatorship of the large opposition party in the parliament, which has paralyzed national governance. The president is suspended from his duties and then detained," Na said.
"The impeachment trial is being held while they are still tied up," he said. "They cannot vote on bills, cannot finalize budget deliberations, and they cannot amend the government organization law. And because of unilateral cuts to the budget, some of the functions of the presidential office have been cut off."
"The head of a huge opposition party, who has four convictions, 12 charges and is facing five trials, is protected by the parliamentary system and is acting like a president," he added.
"Who is really the 'emperor'?" he said. "The first priority now is to revise the constitution to check the imperial parliament run by a single party majority."
