Seoul mayor on presidential run: ”I will respond after Constitutional Court's decision” = South Korea

In response to a question about whether he would run for president if early presidential elections were held, Seoul Mayor Oh Sehun said, "I will answer after the Constitutional Court's decision on the impeachment of the president is made."
On the 4th, at the New Year's Foreign Media Conference held at Seoul City Hall, Mayor Oh said, "As the incumbent mayor, I am concentrating on city administration, so I will not comment on running for president.
Regarding concerns that the martial law situation is affecting the influx of foreign tourists, Mayor Oh said, "Since the end of last year, the number of tourists entering the country has calmed down a bit.
"Fortunately, subsequent monitoring has shown that it was a very short-term impact and tourists quickly started booking again," he said.
He continued, "The tourism industry has been hit so hard that people considering visiting Seoul are worried about safety.
"It seems that no one has been affected by this," he said, emphasizing, "Seoul has not had a single safety incident involving tourists to date, and there won't be any in the future."
