[Exclusive] The company that took photos of 2PM's Taecyeon and his girlfriend apologizes... ”I didn't know he was a celebrity... I had no intention of exposing them”

While Taekyeong of the group 2PM denied the marriage rumours that surfaced in a snapshot with his girlfriend, the vendor who took the photo apologised.

As a result of a Herald POP interview on the 6th, the contractor who took the photo of Taekyeong and his girlfriend in Paris, France, apologised, saying that it was not his intention to expose Taekyeong's personal life.

The vendor uploaded a mosaic of the snapshots of Taekyeong and his girlfriend on the account where he uploaded the photos in question and posted a lengthy apology.

The relevant vendor wrote "We are the company that took the photo in Paris in April 2024. Snapshots of Ok Tae Kyung and his girlfriend were discovered yesterday and we have received many messages regarding this. In fact, we went ahead with the session last year without knowing who they were. It was never our intention to expose their lives."

He continued "Until yesterday, we were unaware of the fact that they were Korean celebrities. They booked their sessions as ordinary people. There was no contact with them other than us contacting them as regular clients, and there was no mention of not publishing their photos. We published the photos as usual and put them up (without any special intention)."

He added "The photos were published in April last year. We did not mention their names at all when we published the photos. It was just a series of purely beautiful and inspirational photos. But we were really surprised and shocked by this embarrassing situation."

The relevant agency also apologised to Taekyung and his girlfriend, saying "We have apologised to Taekyung and his girlfriend. We sincerely apologise. It was never our intention to expose Taekyung and his girlfriend. After we found out what happened, we immediately treated the photos as private, but they had already been shared between several people. We have never sent these photos to anyone and (will not) do so in the future."

Finally, the relevant vendor wrote in a statement. "Every day we receive couples from all over the world; we have photographed more than 7,000 people in Paris since 2019. They don't know the fact that they are celebrities unless they tell us. All this is an unusual situation where they did not know who they were. We apologise to the masses."

Recently, a snapshot of Taekyung in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris with his public girlfriend, who he has been in love with for four years, was posted on the online community.

The photo sparked speculation that Taekyung had knelt down and handed her a ring and proposed to her, leading to marriage theories. However, it was confirmed that this was a photo taken by Taekyeung to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday last April.

On the 5th of this month, Taekyeong's agency 51K Entertainment told Herald POP that they have no plans to get married and that they were worried that fans might be surprised.

Meanwhile, Taekyeung is preparing for fan meetings in South Korea on the 15th and 16th. He is also filming a new drama for KBS 2TV, ‘The Lead Actor's First Time, I Stole It’.
