South Korea's ruling party leader: ”Disappointment with the opposition party has led to rising approval ratings for the ruling party”

On the 6th, Kwon Young-se, emergency response committee chairman of the ruling People Power Party, commented on the party's rising approval rating, "Rather than saying that we are doing well, I am disappointed in the opposition party.
"I believe that the people who support our party are those who feel that they cannot entrust the country to the Democratic Party of Korea led by Chairman Lee Jae-myung, especially those who feel that they cannot entrust the country to the Democratic Party of Korea," he said.
At a New Year's press conference held at the National Assembly on the same day, Chairman Kwon said, "Since the launch of the emergency response committee, the party has been fairly stable and its approval rating has recovered, and it has been receiving positive evaluations.
"We must make even greater efforts to meet the needs of the ruling party since the Kwon Emergency Response Committee was launched in the past month to bring the situation under martial law to a close on Dec. 3 at the end of last year," he said.
On the contrary, the percentage is rising, which indicates that the opposition party is simultaneously expressing its hopes and concerns.
"Many people are concerned about the fairness of the impeachment trial, and are particularly worried about the ideological bias of the Constitutional Court judges," he said.
He continued, "We will do our utmost to fulfill our role as the ruling party to ensure that the right decision is made that can be accepted by all citizens, rather than a decision based on political party or ideology."
