Actor HYERI (Girl's Day) revealed about the kiss scene in the drama. HYERI held the STUDIO
At the press conference for the X+UTV series "Race of Goodwill," he talked about the kiss scene with Jung Soobin. When asked if he felt any pressure or worries, he replied, "I wasn't that worried.
I don't think I had any experience of reading the script. When I read it, I found the emotional lines very understandable and convincing." He continued, "The characters of Seulgi (played by Jung Soobin) and Jay (played by Hyeri)
I was able to show it clearly, and if you look at the story after that, there are scenes where they have conflicts, get closer, separate, and become attached. I shot it while imagining how to show the two of them beautifully.
"Race of Goodwill" is the story of Woo Seulgi, who transfers to Chaehwa Girls' High School, which is ranked in the top 1% of schools in Korea, where a fierce entrance exam war is taking place, and her friends, each of whom shows their own desires.
The mystery revolves around the mysterious death of her father, who was a member of the Scholastic Aptitude Test committee. The fast pace of the story, typical of a girl's thriller, adds to the charm of each character.
The kissing scene between Jung and Soobin also drew interest in how the TV series will develop. Director Kim Tae Hee said, "From the planning stage, this TV series was created with the aim of realistically depicting the emotions of teenagers while targeting teenagers.
"I wrote the script with the idea that it would not be suitable for teenagers to watch," he said. "I conducted many interviews in advance and researched what teenagers think these days.
But more than anything, I wanted to portray the emotions and empathy of these kids in a realistic way that any adult who has experienced the exam wars could understand. I thought a lot about what would best reflect reality.
Regarding the two people (HYERI and Jung SOOBIN) who are pulling the delicate emotional line, he said, "The character settings of the two are completely different. The backgrounds of their growth are very different.
Everyone gets along with people who are similar to them, but I think when you meet someone you're really interested in and sparks fly, it's when you see something in them that you don't have. That's exactly what happened with their relationship.
"I thought it was very natural. I think everyone has someone who goes through growing pains during adolescence, and I think the two characters are like that for each other," he said.
"I thought, 'That's what I thought.'" "Goodwill Competition" will premiere on U+tv and U+Mobiletv on the 10th.
