Yang Ik June indicted for assaulting junior, but film ”Confession” still scheduled

The case of film director and actor Yang Ik June's assault on a junior colleague has been referred to the prosecution. On the 11th, the Seoul Seongbuk Police Station referred the case of Yang Ik June's assault to the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office without detention.
Yang Ik June is accused of repeatedly hitting a junior film staff member, Mr. A, with a stack of papers and verbally abusing him at the izakaya he runs in Seongbuk-gu on December 13 last year.
A police official revealed on the 10th, "The complaint was received on December 30th of last year. The investigation is currently in the final stages and the case is scheduled to be referred to the prosecutor's office on the 11th."
Yang Ik-jun is scheduled to release the Japanese film "Confession" in which he starred in Korea on the 19th.
Attention was focused on his actions regarding the promotion of the film. Yang Ik-jun will attend the preview screening scheduled for the 12th as scheduled.
