South Korean ruling party lawmaker: ”The U.S. asked, 'Is Lee Jae Myung the mastermind behind the 'remittance to North Korea?'”

During a questioning session on the economy at the National Assembly that day, Rep. Kim said, "The U.S. views Representative Lee as a global villain."
On the same day, Rep. Kim emphasized the importance of the US-ROK alliance and said, "The Democratic Party of Korea has decided to allocate the R&D budget for nuclear power generation, which is a strategic cooperation industry for the ROK-US alliance.

Kim also mentioned his visit to the US to attend the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, saying, "The people I met in the US were Lee, President Lee, and others.
Kim continued, pointing out the legal risks posed by Lee and the North Korean remittance scandal, and then mentioned Choi Sang-mok, acting president for economic affairs.
