President Yoon supporters urge constitutional judge to ”resign” in protest in front of his home in South Korea
Supporters of South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol protested in the morning and afternoon of the 17th in front of an apartment building believed to be the residence of Moon Hyung-bae, acting chief justice of the Constitutional Court.
At around 6 p.m. that day, supporters gathered in front of the main gate of an apartment building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, chanting, "Moon Hyung-bae should resign," and "The impeachment is invalid."
They shouted slogans. However, it has not been confirmed whether Moon was in the apartment building. As the protests continue, residents of the apartment building and people passing by nearby have been concerned about disturbances caused by noise and shouting.
There were also protests against the police and rally participants, with some protesters pointing smartphones at apartment residents who were live streaming on YouTube.
According to unofficial police estimates, the number of protesters in the afternoon reached 100. They also began marching from 7:30 a.m., when people arrive to work.
The protest lasted for about an hour from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The protesters criticized Moon for proceeding with the impeachment trial of President Yoon and teased that they would hold a rally in front of the apartment building for a month.
On the other hand, the law on assemblies and protests restricts assemblies and protests to a certain distance from courts and government offices. However, there are no clear regulations regarding places of residence.
Does not exist.
