”SEVENTEEN” joins Taylor Swift and Drake in the top three of global charts
Popular Korean group SEVENTEEN has achieved the highest ranking as a K-pop artist on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's (IFPI) annual main chart.
According to data released by the IFPI on its official website on the 18th (local time), SEVENTEEN ranked third on the 2024 Global Artist Chart.
The IFPI Global Artist Chart is compiled annually by measuring the number of physical and digital sales worldwide.
The rankings are compiled by combining digital music downloads, audio and video streaming figures, and serve as an objective indicator of the most popular artists of the year.
SEVENTEEN entered the top 10 for the first time in 2021 at 9th place on the chart, rising to 6th place in 2022 and 2nd place in 2023, proving their outstanding performance every year.
They also achieved excellent results in the album charts. Their 12th mini album "SPILL THE FEELS" and best album "17 IS RIGHT
"HERE" ranked third and fourth, respectively, on the IFPI's "2024 Global Album Sales Chart."
The only artist to have done so is "SEVENTEEN". In addition, on the IFPI's "2024 Global Album Chart", their 12th mini album ranked 6th and their best album ranked 4th.
