The company also ranked first in the QLED TV market, which uses quantum dot (QD) technology, with a 46.8% share. The QLED TV market has reached 2.75 million units, and the total number of TVs sold has reached 1.5 billion.
The company also sold 1.44 million units in the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV market, giving it a 27.3% share.
Meanwhile, LG Electronics' share of the OLED TV market was 49.3% in terms of sales revenue and 52.4% in terms of unit sales.
It has been ranked first for 12 consecutive years. In the market for ultra-large OLED TVs of 75 inches or more, its share based on shipment volume reached 57.5%.
Large TVs accounted for 16% of the total, with LG Electronics offering a wide range of OLED TVs, including 77, 83, 88, and 97 inches.
Its share of the total TV market, including OLED and liquid crystal displays (LCD), was 16.1%, second only to Samsung Electronics.
