In March, Ottogi will launch a global campaign for ‘Jin Ramen’, Korea's representative ramen.
Pop icon ‘BTS’ JIN was chosen as the global model for ‘Jin Ramen’. The plan is to launch a full-fledged market expansion through global marketing in conjunction with a renewal of the global package design of Jin Ramen this year.
The global campaign will be launched worldwide, starting with a video, and the packaging featuring JIN's image can be seen on products such as containers and cups. As well as Korean products, JIN is included in JIN Ramen, which is exported to various countries and regions, including the US, Canada, China, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Sticker stickers were also composed. The sticker stickers are included in the Jin Ramen multi-product range and comprise 12 types, including JIN, handwritten text and Wootteo, a character developed directly by JIN to celebrate the release of JIN's first solo single ‘The Astronaut’ in 2022. Korean products will be operated in limited quantities with one of the 12 types enclosed, while export multi-packs will include one of the four types incorporating JIN's image.
Recently, Ottogi participated in the 2025 Winter Fancy Food Show, the largest food expo in the US, held in Las Vegas, USA, and met directly with buyers and famous chefs from various countries to promote Jin Ramen, a ramen representing Korea. The company is aggressively targeting overseas markets as a representative of the Korean ramen market.
In particular, the company has applied the English word ‘JIN’ for ‘Jin Ramen’ in full to make it easy for foreigners to remember, described the different flavours in various languages, and utilised a cute mascot to add a sense of familiarity and make the brand more clearly imprinted on overseas consumers.
(An official from Ottogi Co. said, "We are trying to further strengthen communication with overseas consumers through the global campaign of JIN Ramen" and "We hope you will look forward to the campaign that will start with the global artist JIN and the new packaging".
