In an interview with a South Korean news program on the same day, Lee said that his recent actions have been viewed as “right-clicking,” and that he “is not a political offensive.”
"The concepts of conservatism and innovation are relative. Conservatism is about maintaining the current system and upholding good values and order," Lee said.
"If something is wrong, changing it is seen as innovation, but that in itself can be said to be conservative because it creates a better order."
He continued, "Martial law, affair, riots, removal, extremism, raids on the courts, raids on the Constitutional Court, etc.,
"You can't call something like that conservative. Can you call something that destroys the values that should be protected conservative?" Lee said. "Because the current ruling party, the People's Power Party, is taking this kind of attitude, it is becoming more and more difficult to call it a 'far-right party.'
"It has become 'fascism.'"
