South Korea's North Jeolla Province selected as bid city for 2036 Summer Olympics, beating out Seoul
Jeolla Province, South Korea, has been selected as a domestic candidate site to attempt to host the 2036 Summer Olympics.

The heads of North Jeolla Province and Seoul City each made 45-minute presentations at the general meeting to appeal for support.
North Jeolla Province Governor Kim Kwan-young and Seoul Mayor Oh Sehun served as presenters in person.

Of the 120 total delegates, two delegates for each of the 37 Olympic sports are eligible to vote, for a total of 74, but 62 people participated on the day.
