South Korean ambassador to Japan meets with Defense Minister Nakatani...emphasizing importance of Japan-South Korea cooperation

The Korean Ambassador to Japan, Park Chol-hee, met with former Defense Minister Nakatani at the Ministry of Defense on the 3rd, the Korean Embassy announced. The two discussed the bilateral cooperation amid an increasingly severe security environment in the region.
"Considering the security environment facing South Korea and Japan, cooperation between the two countries and collaboration with the United States is essential," Park said.
"It is important that the two countries cooperate with each other as a very important guarantee for peace and stability in the region," he said. He added that he hopes that the relationship will remain unshakable in the future as the two countries mark the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations.
"I would like to maintain close communication with defense authorities and work toward peace and stability in the region," Nakatani said, according to the Sankei Shimbun.
