Teenage girl seriously injured after falling from pedestrian bridge onto 12-lane road (South Korea)
A teenage female student fell from a pedestrian bridge in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, and sustained serious injuries. According to police on the 4th, the incident occurred at around 3:39 pm on the 3rd at Gwonseong, Suwon City.
A (16) fell from a pedestrian bridge in Gwonseon-dong, Gwonseon-gu, about 5 meters onto a 12-lane road. At the time of his fall, there were no cars passing by, so there was no risk of a secondary accident.
Mr. A was taken to a nearby hospital by an ambulance that was called in response to a witness' report, and was reported to have suffered serious injuries to his head and pelvis.
Although the police believe that A fell alone, they are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, keeping in mind the possibility of a crime.
A police official said, "The specific circumstances of the accident have yet to be confirmed," and added, "Further investigations will be conducted into Mr. A."
