According to the South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's aviation information portal system, yesterday (3rd) at around 7:30 pm, Gimpo International Airport
Jeju Air flight 7C139, which was scheduled to depart the airport and arrive in Jeju, turned back. The plane had attempted to return to its departure point, Gimpo, but at around 10:10 p.m., it was unable to return due to a lack of fuel.
The plane was reported to have landed at Cheongju International Airport. Jeju Air explained to passengers that "the wing had a defect due to the worsening weather, and we decided to turn back," and said it would provide an alternative flight this morning (4th).
The plane in question is a Boeing B737-800, the same model as the one involved in the Jeju Air crash at Muan Airport on December 29 last year.
