Charismatic South Korean lecturer explains that his defense of former ruling party leader was a ”misunderstanding”
Jeong Han-gil, a famous Korean history lecturer in South Korea, said in an interview with the media that "everyone makes mistakes."
When his remarks were interpreted as meaning that he was defending Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the ruling party People Power Party, he explained that this was a misunderstanding.
According to the South Korean news agency Newsis, on the 4th, Jung posted to the community of his YouTube channel, "Former Han Dong-hoon
"I would like to clarify my opinion because there are people who misunderstood my answer," he said.
As a conservative, I think it is fortunate that former Chairman Han has reflected on and apologized for his mistakes and that he will not be joining the Democratic Party with Chairman Lee Jae-myung.
"That's all I meant," he continued. "(With his comments in the interview) I hope to avoid misunderstandings such as 'Jeong Han-gil is defending former Chairman Han.'
"Although Wake News is spreading the news, I don't know former CEO Han's contact information, I've never spoken to him on the phone, and of course I don't know him," he claimed.
"I have already met people like former Chairman Han, who has spoken about the presidential election from an early stage within the ruling party.
"This is Jeong Han-gil's response to the traitor Han, saying, 'A child who prepares for a funeral while his parents are still alive is a fool.'"
This is our view," he emphasized.
