Man throws boiling pot at restaurant owner after being told not to smoke (South Korea)

A middle-aged man smoked an e-cigarette in a store, assaulted the female store owner who tried to stop him, and fled. Police are pursuing him.
A report was received that a middle-aged man was smoking an electronic cigarette at a liquor store in Jungsan-dong, Jung-gu. The store owner said at the time that the man had been drinking and was continuing to smoke an electronic cigarette, so he asked the police for help.
The man then assaulted the store owner, splashing alcohol on him and throwing a boiling pot at him, causing a commotion.
The man fled before police arrived, and police are reviewing CCTV footage and the store owner's statement.
The man who fled the scene is currently being pursued. It has been confirmed that the store owner sustained broken ribs and will be fully recovered in four weeks. A police source said, "We are pursuing the man on suspicion of special assault."
"We will investigate the specific details of the incident," he said.
