In response, the Democratic Party of Korea said, "The prosecutors, who considered themselves minions of the masterminds of the rebellion, have plunged the Republic of Korea and its people into crisis."
Cho Seung-rye, chief spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea, said in a written briefing, "The prosecution has finally started a civil war.
"The release of the ringleader, Yoon Seok-yeo, is a surrender that cannot be justified in any way and a declaration of loyalty to the ringleader of the rebellion on behalf of the people," he said.
