Kim Moon-soo, Minister of Employment and Labor: ”The Constitutional Court should resume the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol” (South Korea)

On the 9th, Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo urged the Constitutional Court to "resume arguments in the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol."
Minister Kim wrote on his Facebook page that day, "With President Yoon's arrest lifted and his release as a turning point, we must now ensure that the entire judicial process in the Republic of Korea is restored to normal.
"We hope to avoid making an irreparable mistake in constitutional history, and we request that the Constitutional Court resume arguments in the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol," he said.
"We have pointed out many problems with the investigation, arrest, detention and trial process of the president, but biased and unfair law enforcement has continued," Kim said.
"Furthermore, the Constitutional Court has been criticized for conducting an unfair trial during the presidential impeachment trial, and the public believes this is due to the open ideological bias of some judges," he said.
He continued, "The Constitutional Court operates as a single-trial court. If it makes a wrong decision, it cannot be undone. President Yoon Seok-yeol has been ordered to announce his ruling in accordance with the schedule of the Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.
"We must do this (resuming arguments) in order to dispel the deep doubts held by the public that the schedule for the impeachment trial has been pushed through in an unreasonable manner," he said.
Minister Kim also said, "If the Constitutional Court ignores this, then no matter what decision the impeachment trial makes in the future, the public will be able to easily accept it.
On the 7th, the day of President Yoon's release, Minister Kim wrote in his Fei Su-book, "Today, as a State Councilor of the Republic of Korea, I am the head of the Seoul Central Regional Committee.
"We welcome the court's decision to revoke the arrest of President Yoon Seok-yeol and believe it is a very correct decision," the statement read.
If that is the case, it is only natural that the investigation team should immediately release President Yoon Seok-yeol," he said, urging for President Yoon's release.
