KRYSTAL (f(x)) selected as public relations ambassador for ”2025 French Cinema Week”
KRYSTAL (Jung Suzy), a former member of the girl group f(x), has been selected as the ambassador for French Cinema Week.
"Semaine du cinema francais 2025" will be held at Art Nine and the Cinema Hall from Friday, April 4th to Sunday, April 13th.
The company announced that the event will be held and that actress Jung Suzy-jung has been confirmed as the promotional ambassador.
"French Cinema Week" is a joint project between the Cultural Affairs Section of the French Embassy in Korea, Art Nine, and the Film
The event will be co-hosted by the Seoul Film Center and the Busan Film Center from Friday, April 4th to Sunday, April 13th.
The French Film Week will begin in 2021 and will include the Cannes Film Festival, the Berlinale Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival.
The exhibition will feature 10 unreleased films that have been invited to or won awards at major film festivals in Korea and abroad, including the International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Jeonju International Film Festival.
This is a special exhibition for domestic audiences. It will introduce works across a wide range of genres, including TV series, romance, comedy, animation, and documentaries, and will appeal to audiences who love French films.
The poster released along with the news of the event features a blue film layer depicting a blue snake with the image of the film being screened, in commemoration of the year of the blue snake, 2025.
Jung Suzy, who has been confirmed as the ambassador for the 2025 French Cinema Week, debuted in the group f(x) in 2009 and has been loved by many as a singer.
He has appeared in many dramas in various genres, including "The more you look at him, the more charming he is," "High Kick of Love," "The Heirs," "Prison Playbook," "Search: Crossroads of Destiny," and "Police Class."
Lama also gave a passionate performance in his first leading role in the film "Ebi Gyu Hwan" (2020). He will then star in "Spider Web" (2023), directed by Kim Jieun, which was invited to the 76th Cannes International Film Festival.
She won the Best New Actress Award at the 33rd Busan Film Awards and the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 28th Chunsa International Film Festival for her outstanding performance in "The 2025 Movie," and is building her own career as a singer and actor.
