14日(金)ついに公開『私たちは天国には行けないけど、愛することはできる』、本編映像が解禁!
”We Can't Go to Heaven, But We Can Love” will finally be released on Friday the 14th, and the main footage has been released!
"We Can't Go to Heaven, But We Can Love," a story of love and friendship between girls depicting the warmth of the purest period of their lives in 1999 at the end of the century, will be released on March 14th (Friday).
It will be released nationwide, including at Nemato Shinjuku. This time, the main footage has been released. All the time we spent loving each other was heaven for me. I'll come to see you wherever you are.
Set in 1999, a time when class and sex discrimination are still prevalent, the story begins with the encounter between Juyeon, a member of the high school taekwondo club, and Yeji, a student in a juvenile detention center.
The film's title, which is a mixture of pessimism and optimism, was inspired by a passage from a book that director Jay Ng happened to read. As the title suggests, the film depicts the unreasonable circumstances surrounding teenage girls at the end of the century and the people involved in them.
It is a coming-of-age story, a coming-of-age tale, about girls joining hands to overcome a situation where violence was considered normal.
The two stars, Park Suyeong from "Honey's Bride" and Lee Yumi from "The Squid Game," perform fresh and delicate acting in this love story that is a TV Series and beautifully elevates it.
The two talk about the apocalypse, and the precious time that can never be returned... The main footage has been released! Juyeon and Yeji are high school girls living in 1999, the year of Nostradamus' great prophecy.
As we talked about the end of the world, we decided to decide on a place to meet just the two of us. Juyeon said she would meet me at the place we decided on, and I could see her happy face in my eyes.
YEJI stares back at her as if to ask her to meet him. Juyeon replies with a serious look, "Lotteria?... That restaurant is too far away." After thinking it over, the two decide to meet at the crosswalk in front of the school.
It's TV-like and wonderful. It's close to my house and there's a delicious tteokbokki restaurant there," Juyeon replied with a hint of childishness. "I like that kind of thing," he agreed with a laugh.
Juyeon suddenly blurted out, "I wonder if the end of the world is really coming. We can't go to heaven. Mom says we'll go to hell if we don't believe in Jesus." Juyeon replied, "But heaven really does exist."
"I don't believe that," YEJI replied, but it seemed like he wanted to say something else. Curious, he asked her what she wanted to say, and the two of them tickled YEJI, who didn't say anything, and started playing around with each other.
He loses his balance and falls to the floor... Although it is just a trivial conversation, the main footage is somehow romantic and reminds us of the days of our youth that we can never return to.
The film "We Can't Go to Heaven, But We Can Love" carefully depicts the chaotic atmosphere of an apocalyptic era and the story of girls who protect their love even if they can't go to heaven.
