On the 12th, Kwon Yeong-se, chairman of the People Power Party's emergency response committee, announced that the second instance court would add an unconstitutional law ruling to the case of Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, accused of violating the Public Offices Election Act.
Regarding the filing, he pointed out that "it is necessary to face the trial fairly, rather than falsifying the facts and using delaying tactics based on them."
That afternoon, Chairman Kwon was at the Capital Defense Command where the US-ROK joint exercise 'Freedom Shield (FS) 2025' was taking place.
After visiting the court, he told reporters, "(Representative Lee) has not intended to undergo a proper trial and has used various tactics to continue to delay his own legal risk, but that is also very representative.
Chairman Kwon said, "Regarding the part about spreading false facts in the Public Offices Election Act, Chairman Lee said that it is a law that has no precedent anywhere in the world, but it is clear that there is no truth to it.
"The court must adhere to the 6-3-3 principle (in the Public Offices Election Law trial) and bring the trial to a swift conclusion," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman Kwon said that Rep. Kim Sang-wook of the same party had said, "When the impeachment of President Yoon was rejected, I will continue to refuse to accept it until I die."
Regarding the remarks made to the effect that "I will eat away at the things I've said," he said, "It is very unfortunate. As a member of the party, I can express various opinions, but I cannot eat away at the things that the majority of the party agrees with."
"Any action that differs from this is inappropriate behavior for someone who belongs to the party, and especially for a member of the Diet," he said.
