Actor Choi Min Sik celebrated the re-release of the movie "Shiri." "Shiri" is a story about Yoo Jeong-won (played by Han Suk Kyu), a special agent of the Korean secret intelligence agency OP, and his partner Lee Jang-gi.
The film depicts a thrilling espionage war between Park Mu-young (played by Choi Min Sik), commander of the 8th Special Corps of North Korea, and North Korean agents and internal spies.
In a video celebrating the re-release, Choi Min Sik said, "I'm deeply moved to be re-releasing 'Shiri' after 26 years. I think 'Shiri' is the work that kicked off the renaissance of Korean cinema."
He said, "I can still hear the gunfire in my ears. I can still picture the scene of the heat in front of my eyes." He continued, "I hope that people of today who have not yet seen 'Shiri' will also like it."
