2PM's Taecyeon captivates Japan...Ends with 4,000 fans in a frenzy

2PM's Taecyeon ended his solo fan meeting in Tokyo with great success.

Taecyeon spent an important time with about 4,000 fans at the ‘SweeTY’ fan meeting held at YOKOHAMA BUNTAI Hall on the 8th March.

The fan meeting was filled with ‘SweeTY’ events for the fans. Taecyeon appeared from the audience singing ‘I LOVE U, U LOVE ME’ and announced the start of his sweet date by handing a bouquet of flowers to his fans.

Taecyeon, who communicated with fans in fluent Japanese without any interpreter and consistently led a joyful atmosphere throughout the event, was the star of the film ‘Grand Maison Paris’, which became one of the biggest hits of all time in Japan, recording 2.79 million visitors and grossing over 4.02 billion yen at the box office since its release on the 30th December last year. The behind-the-scenes episodes and boxing practice footage from the Japanese Netflix series ‘Soulmate’ ahead of its release were shown to raise fans' expectations.

He then prepared a variety of events with fans, including some where fans had to guess the answer to quizzes about Taecyeon, and made a cake on the spot to commemorate the precious memories of the day, making the atmosphere warm and sweet. He also impressed fans with their positive communication by making closer eye contact with fans and empathising with them in a friendly manner.

The excitement of the audience grew as they sang ‘Party like TY’, ‘Champagne’, ‘I don't want to do it’, ‘Magic’ and ‘Jump’, and the atmosphere reached a climax when they performed their own song ‘So Wonderful’, which they wrote especially for this fan meeting, for the first time.

Taecyeon said "I'm happy to meet you all in March when spring starts. Like the title of the fan meeting, ‘sweETY’, I prepared hard hoping that the day would be filled with sweet moments, but as I made eye contact with each person and received warm support, it was more like I received a big present, for which I thank you. I hope to see you soon in ‘Soul Mate’, and I will continue to work hard to show an even better figure to all of you who believe in me and support me as always," he said in her closing speech, drawing enthusiastic applause from the fans.

After ending the fan meeting with ‘Toc Toc Toc’ and ‘ARUKITAI’ with great success, Taecyeon plans to visit viewers in Korea's KBS2 ‘The leading actor's first experience, I took it away’.
