South Korean Prime Minister ”returns”... Huge opposition party ”9 losses in 9 matches” and ”impeachment headwinds”

South Korean Prime Minister Han Deok-soo resumed his acting presidential powers on the 24th. This comes 88 days after the National Assembly passed the impeachment motion against him on December 27th of last year.
Prime Minister Han is expected to immediately return to his duties and tackle pending issues such as diplomacy, policy and security, and work to stabilize national affairs.
Meanwhile, the opposition Democratic Party (DPJ) is facing an impeachment backlash after being slammed with a report card showing "repeated rejections."
The Constitutional Court dismissed the impeachment trial against Prime Minister Han on the same day. As a result, Prime Minister Han was restored to the position of acting president, and the impeachment proceedings brought by the Democratic Party-led opposition coalition were dismissed.
The ruling is expected to have an impact on the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol, which is due to reach a conclusion in the future.
