In order to overcome recent sluggish performance, Samsung Electronics' network business division is focusing on expanding its next-generation network solutions business that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI).
The network business division's sales are expected to decline for the second consecutive year, falling 23.7% from the previous year to 2.9 trillion won (about 297.56987 billion yen) in 2024.
This was due to the fact that the fifth-generation communication system (5G) communication market has entered a period of maturity and capital investment has leveled off. In response, the company has strengthened its AI virtualized base station (vRAN) in 2025.
