China's 5G base stations reach 4.325 million...user numbers surge - Chinese report

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, telecommunications revenue in January and February of this year reached 295 billion former (about 6.1 trillion yen), up 0.9% from the same period last year.
This is a 7.6% increase. The number of 5G users has been increasing rapidly this year. As of the end of February, the number of mobile phone users of the three telecommunications companies and China Radio & Television Group reached 1.793 billion.
This is an increase of 3.273 million people since the end of last year. Of these, 5G mobile phone users increased by 36.53 million people from the end of last year to 1.051 billion people, accounting for 58.6% of mobile phone users.
As of the end of February, the number of 5G base stations had increased by 74,000 from the end of last year to 4.325 million. This accounts for 34.1% of the total number of mobile phone base stations, down 0.5% from the end of last year.
