Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon: ”Impeaching all Cabinet members despite forest fires?... The Democratic Party of Korea has declared that it will dismantle the national government” - South Korea
On the 30th, Seoul Mayor Oh Sehun criticized the Democratic Party as a "party addicted to power" for trying to impeach all of its state council members instead of addressing the disaster caused by the massive forest fires.
Mayor Wu posted an article on Fei Books titled, "Democratic Party of Korea seeks to impeach all members of the State Council in the midst of a disaster, power-addicted party," in which he said, "The people are suffering from the forest fires.
However, the huge opposition party (the Democratic Party of Korea) has publicly declared its intention to dismantle the national government," he said. Mayor Oh said, "The Democratic Party of Korea has made the following statement to the acting president, Han Deok-soo:
If Constitutional Justice candidate Ma Eun-hyuk is not appointed by April 1, he will make a major decision. It is clear what that major decision is. He will push for the impeachment of all members of the State Council, including Acting Prime Minister Han.
He added, "Pressing for a second impeachment against Acting President Han is nothing but a protest against the Constitutional Court's decision. While they say they will resolve the crisis, in reality they are trying to control national affairs.
"It's a contradictory way of paralyzing the city of Lutten," he said. Mayor Kure said, "The words are condemnation, but in reality it is an abuse of legislative power and an act of violation of the constitution. They are ignoring the crisis in people's lives and are just going ahead with it.
"It is no different from the power-addicted behavior of those who are obsessed with power," he added. "It is precisely at times like these that conservatives must protect the center. They have crisis-dealing capabilities that are different from those of power-addicted forces.
It is urgent to prove this. With Acting Prime Minister Han at the center, the ruling party (People Power Party) and the government must come together and work hard to overcome this disaster. The more critical the situation, the more responsible conservatives must be.
"We have a duty to bring the situation under control," he said.
