Trump pardons three BitMEX co-founders, including Arthur Hayes

US President Donald Trump has reportedly pardoned the three co-founders of the BitMEX cryptocurrency exchange.
According to a CNBC report, Trump was facing various criminal charges related to money laundering and violating the Bank Secrecy Act.

They all pleaded guilty to federal charges related to money laundering.
Hayes and Delo pleaded guilty in February 2022, admitting that BitMEX “knowingly failed to establish, implement and maintain an anti-money laundering program,” and Reed pleaded guilty a few weeks later.
They pleaded guilty. The White House has not made any official statement that President Trump plans to pardon the three.
Since taking office on January 20, 2021, President Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations against him in the January 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol.
More than 1,500 people have been indicted on charges related to the Silk Road scandal, including Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht.
The federal government has issued several controversial pardons, including for Biden, including for Ulbricht.
No specific reason was given for President Trump to pardon the BitMEX co-founders, who are already serving sentences of house arrest and probation until 2022.
The co-founders of BitMEX were fined $30 million in a civil lawsuit filed with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
