It has been revealed that former BIGBANG member VI has left Korea and is looking to pursue a career in China. According to an interview with a Korean media outlet on the 2nd (today), VI is also planning to leave Korea and pursue a career in China.
An entertainment source said through the media, "VI was in Korea until a few months ago, but he boarded a plane to China last month."
"Although he has not revealed any concrete plans, he remains very interested in the entertainment industry and is exploring various business ventures."
The source continued, "Of course, there are no plans for any activities in Korea. We are aware of the public's intense interest and opinion, so
"There are no plans for him to continue his activities as before. However, he is currently planning on doing what he is best at, the entertainment business, and will likely make the most of his connections," he added.
Another source said, "It's true that she has cut ties with the BIGBANG members, but she is still on good terms with the people she was close to before. She naturally got along with them.
"While he was talking about business, I understand that he went to China to look for another way," he explained. Previously, VI was involved in the Burning Sun incident in 2020 and was arrested for nine counts of sexual assault.
She was indicted on charges and sentenced to one year and six months in prison, after which she was recently released. She has since retired from the entertainment industry. The charges she was accused of were habitual gambling, prostitution, prostitution arranging, and special provisions related to the punishment of sexual assault crimes.
These include violations of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, violations of the Food Sanitation Act, business embezzlement, violations of the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), and incitement to special assault.
