China's electronic information manufacturing industry's added value in January and February rose 10.6% year-on-year: Chinese report

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the situation for electronic information manufacturing industries of a certain size or above (annual main operating revenue of 20 million yen or more (approximately 410 million yen)) in January and February of this year.
According to the published data, the added value of electronic and information manufacturing in January and February increased by 10.6% year-on-year, up 4.7 percentage points from the industrial sector during the same period,
In terms of production volume of major products, microcomputer equipment increased 7.2% to 47 million units, while mobile phones increased 6.1% to 47 million units.
Of which, smartphone production fell 6.8% to 162 million units, while integrated circuit production increased 4.4% to 76.7 billion units.
Export volume has been steadily increasing. During the same period, exports from the electronic information manufacturing industry increased 5.9% compared to the same period last year.
On the other hand, profitability declined. Operating revenue increased 9.2% year-on-year to 2.32 trillion yen (about 47.8 trillion yen), and operating costs increased 1.2% year-on-year to 1.32 trillion yen (about 1.32 trillion yen).
The operating profit margin was 1.67%.
