CEO Smith resigns and moves to the Solana Institute for Policy Studies.
On the 1st (local time), the Blockchain Association announced that CEO Smith will step down on May 16th and will take over as CEO of the Solana Policy Institute from May 19th.

The move coincides with Whitehouse-Levine taking over as CEO of the Solana Institute, which will provide education on Solana to U.S. policymakers.
The Blockchain Association, an organization that includes major companies in the cryptocurrency industry, such as Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Chainlink Labs, recently filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
He previously filed a lawsuit against regulations that would have required cryptocurrency brokers to report cryptocurrency transactions.
He strongly opposed the enforcement approach to regulation under former SEC Chairman John Gensler, which forced many cryptocurrency companies to incur huge legal costs.
