On the 2nd of last month, the head of the Garosero Institute, Mr Kim, stated through a live broadcast on its YouTube channel that "the bereaved family members asked us to release this, so we are releasing it today" and revealed that "five mobile phones, four laptops and a tablet were recently found and forensics were completed."
The video released was a mobile phone video containing KakaoTalk messages, in which the deceased mentioned Kim Soo Hyun with his cousin sister before his death. The exchange was captured on 13 April 2018, when Kim Sae-Ron was 17 years old.
In the message, Kim Sae-ron said to the person presumed to be Kim Soo Hyun, "Oppa (a female's term for a close older male friend) wants to see me, and when he needs me, he can contact me properly, but when I need him, he is always [unreachable]" and added, "I am very concerned and worried because he can't contact me. If you don't make an effort, I won't see you any more" and showed her sadness.
Regarding this, Representative Kim mentioned that "this is a lover relationship; a KakaoTalk sent and captured at 2:30am on 13th April 2018" and that "He got leave in the army, but went somewhere else without seeing his girlfriend, I'd get angry too." Kim Soo Hyun enlisted in October 2017 and was on military service, while Kim Sae-ron was 17 years old and a second year high school student.
A lengthy position statement that Kim Sae-ron wrote to refute GOLDMEDALIST‘s official comments after receiving a content proof were also published.
The deceased wrote "This photo uploaded to the story function is from the year 2016 and the relationship lasted from the 19th November 2015 until 7th July 2021. I was 16 years old and the other person was 30. That is how our six-year relationship came to an end."
Representative Kim commented on Kim Soo Hyun's claim "Even with this, I am still going to watch to see how long it is X. I will clearly state that Kim Sae-ron told her family exactly what happened and that she has all the data. Don't even let me get her diary out", he warned.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun has additionally charged Representative Kim with violating the Stalking Punishment Act.
The legal firm that represents Kim Soo Hyun said ‘’Garosero Institute indiscriminately posted photos and videos of Kim Soo Hyun's face and body, as well as private letters and messages, on his YouTube channel, and we have accused him of this kind of 'cyberwrecking'. The only way to stop this kind of ‘cyber-wrecking’ behaviour is through strict investigation and punishment", and claimed that “The claims that Kim Soo Hyun had a relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron since she was a minor is absolutely untrue.”
At the same time, Kim Soo Hyun filed a lawsuit for damages worth 12 billion won against the bereaved family and self-proclaimed aunt, whose family name is unknown, and the ‘Garosero Institute’, which was allocated to the court department on the 1st of this month.
