On the 2nd, another media outlet reported that VI was leaving Korea for China and planning various ventures, including in the entertainment industry.
VI was named as the key figure in the Burning Sun Gate scandal in 2019 and left BIGBANG.
He was sentenced to one year and six months in prison on nine charges, including violation of the Sex Trafficking Punishment Act, filming for the purpose of sexual assault, and professional embezzlement, and was released in February 2023.
