VI (former BIGBANG) denies rumors of Chinese entertainment business: ”No truth to it... No economic activities”

BIGBANG former member VI (Seungri) has directly denied rumors that he is preparing for an entertainment business in China, making it a hot topic.
On the 3rd, VI requested a phone interview with a media outlet and denied the rumors that he was leaving Korea, saying, "It's not true."
He continued, "I am still interested in entertainment and cultural projects.
However, the truth is that there are absolutely no such plans," he said. "The only time I met with people in the entertainment industry was recently when I was having dinner with people I used to work with and reminiscing about the past.
On the 2nd, another media outlet reported that VI was leaving Korea for China and planning various ventures, including in the entertainment industry.
VI was named as the key figure in the Burning Sun Gate scandal in 2019 and left BIGBANG.
He was sentenced to one year and six months in prison on nine charges, including violation of the Sex Trafficking Punishment Act, filming for the purpose of sexual assault, and professional embezzlement, and was released in February 2023.
Even after his release, he has been criticized by the public for various eyewitness accounts, but VI has said, "(After release)
"I'm not doing anything. I'm mainly spending time with my family and just living my life as I am, doing nothing," he said. "The reason I'm speaking out again is because it's not true and I want to correct it."
"I sincerely apologize for causing fatigue through numerous incidents involving me. I will act more cautiously and show a more responsible image so that no further controversy arises over my private life.
"It's a good idea to do that," he added.
