[Full text] KBS clarifies its position regarding XIUMIN (EXO)'s appearance on ”Music Bank”: ”There was a difference in the direction of discussion and expectations”

KBS has announced its stance on XIUMIN (EXO)'s appearance on "Music Bank." On the 4th, KBS announced that it would take disciplinary measures against the "XIUMIN's 'Music Bank'" posted on the viewers' petition board on March 9th.
In response to a petition that read, "We ask for a fair and honest response regarding the cancellation of the appearance of 'Jikkbank,'" KBS said, "The production team has been in discussions with Xiumin's side regarding his appearance prior to the broadcast.
However, we understand that there were differences in the direction of the discussions and expectations during that process." Below is the full text of KBS's response to the petition.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the viewers who took an interest in "Music Bank" and petitioned.
Since its launch in 1998, Music Bank has showcased the history of K-POP and the performances of various artists every week.
I would like to talk about singer XIUMIN's appearance. The production team has been in discussions with XIUMIN's side regarding whether or not she will appear in the show prior to the broadcast.
However, I understand that there were differences in the direction of the discussions and expectations during that process. "Music Bank" is open to all agencies and artists, and
The schedule is decided based on communication with the singers who wish to perform, taking into consideration a variety of factors such as the stage composition and flow of the program.
Please understand that due to limited programming time and production conditions, it is difficult to accept all appearance requests.
We sympathize with the disappointment of the fans who were waiting to see XIUMIN's stage, and hope that more artists will be able to meet their fans through Music Bank in the future.
