「NewJeans」、“NJZ”の痕跡整理→メンバーの両親による分裂説を否定…「HYBEに戻れない」
”NewJeans” cleans up traces of ”NJZ” → denies rumors of split by members' parents... ”I can't go back to HYBE”
The group ‘NewJeans’ cleans up traces of ‘NJZ’ (their new activity name) on their SNS and repudiated the rumors of a split between the members' parents.

On the 4th, ‘NewJeans’ changed their newly opened SNS account ‘NJZ’ to ‘mhdhh_friends’ after claiming the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR. ‘mhdhh’ is believed to be a combination of the initials of the English initials of members Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin and Haein, and they deleted all the posts they had posted.

The name of the SNS account on which the official positions of the parents of ‘NewJeans’ are posted was also changed from ‘NJZ_PR’ to ‘mhdhh_pr’, attracting attention.

In November last year, ‘NewJeans’ held a press conference to inform ADOR of the termination of their exclusive contract and decided on a new group name ‘NJZ’, after which they carried out their own activities and the parents of ‘NewJeans’ opened an SNS account to actively represent the members' position.

In response, ADOR filed an ‘application for a provisional injunction prohibiting the preservation of the status of the planning company and the conclusion of an advertising contract’ on the 6th January, and ‘NewJeans’ put forward a total of 11 reasons for terminating the contract, but the court refused to accept all of them. In order to prevent them from acting as ‘NJZ’, ‘NewJeans’ declared a suspension of their activities and declared that they would continue to fight.

On the 4th, a theory was raised that some parents of ‘NewJeans’ had expressed their opposition to the termination of their exclusive contract, but this turned out to be untrue.

On the same day, the parents of NewJeans posted on SNS, "The content reported through some media that 'a split has occurred between the parents of the members' is not true at all. In order to correct the misunderstanding, we will clarify the relevant position," and denied "All five members have a firm position that they cannot return to HYBE, and this decision was made after thorough consultation with their respective families. The members are united in their deep trust in each other, as they initially promised that they would not initiate any legal action unless all five members agreed."

They continued "Even now, the members are keeping the same position and we, the parents, fully respect the children's wishes and support them unchanged. Despite the difficulties the members are currently going through, the five members continue to meet frequently and maintain an unchanged friendship, and our parents are also using these difficulties as an opportunity to communicate more regularly and maintain a strong relationship, so there is no reason to believe that there is a split between the families, that members are leaving, or any other unfounded rumors. We are perplexed and regret that there have been unfounded rumors in the press about a split in the family, members leaving the group, etc."

They also said "The flirtations related to member Hyerin are completely different from the facts. Both Hyerin and her parents are definitely in line with their aspirations, and the speculations about other family circumstances are also all untrue. The other members of the family have proceeded with the custody arrangement out of respect for the minor child's will, and this family also has the firm will of the child and the mother, and the assumptions about the circumstances of this family are also untrue. We also request that you exercise restraint in your speculation."

With that, added "The custody issue is one family's situation. We hope that there will be no malicious activity in the future in relation to this case as a ‘legal dispute with ADOR’. A company that should be based on trust is exploiting a member's family situation and playing to the media, but as parents we cannot send our children there again. ADOR and HYBE, which have changed management, have never once shown us any trust and this remains the case to this day", they stressed.
