Seven in 10 office workers believe that the rallies calling for the impeachment of former President Yoon Seok-yeol contributed to the development of democracy in South Korea.
On the 6th, the civic group Workplace Power Harassment 119 held a "Yoon Seok-yeol Impeachment Rally and Democracy" from February 10th to 17th, targeting 1,000 company employees aged 19 and over nationwide.
The survey revealed that 68.7% of respondents agreed with the statement that the impeachment rallies had a positive impact on the development of democracy in Korean society.

80.1% of respondents said that 'rallies are an effective way for me to express my will as a citizen,' and 79.8% said that 'rallies have the power to correct the nation's mistakes.'
In total, 12.5% of respondents said they had participated in impeachment rallies, and 63.3% of respondents said they believed Korean politics would become more democratic after the impeachment rallies.
On the other hand, 47.3% agreed with the statement that "after the impeachment rally, democracy in the workplace will expand."
The most important elements were 'introduction of fair decision-making procedures' (35.6%), 'elimination of unfair labor practices' (26.8%), 'strengthening management transparency and expanding information disclosure' (19.0%), and 'improving labor transparency' (26.8%).
Mentioned were 'guaranteeing union activities' (8.5%) and 'increasing the participation of employee representatives' (8.4%).
